13 years after its creation, the Bernard Clavel library has been renovated in new premises. On June 25, 2022, the magnificent municipal library was inaugurated in Courmangoux in the presence of many personalities.

Bernard Clavel lived for several years in the hamlet of La Courbatière, where he wrote his last novels. This library is the first to bear his name and it is with emotion that he gave his agreement. Bernard Clavel has donated to the Courmangoux library everything he has published. The library has his complete works.
Registration at the library is free. Everyone can borrow as many books as he wants, for a period of 3 weeks. The library has a large selection of books: novels, detective stories, documentaries, comic books, children's books and albums, large print books and books from the audio library for the visually impaired...
The "communication - sport - leisure - culture" commission is behind this initiative, supported by a group of dedicated and dynamic volunteers (elected and non-elected).
In order to make this library more "alive", animations and exhibitions are proposed from time to time.
