François Morel was discovered by the general public through his character in Les Deschiens, and since then has enjoyed a string of successes in theater, where the absurd and the poetic come together to re-enchant our daily lives.

This singular and prolific artist is also a fabulous novelist. With Le dictionnaire amoureux de l'inutile, written with his son Valentin, François Morel invites us to join them on stage for a musical reading in two voices. It's a joyful invitation to delve into memories that are as futile as they are profound: wondering about President Giscard d'Estaing's hairstyle, or extolling the virtues of sleeping in... Is man more useful than the lobster? Are potatoes more indispensable than bindweed?...
