Cultural, Library - media library in Buellas
  • The library is visited by about 90 families of the commune, which represents 271 readers from 2 to 90 years old (including our school children).
    The service is managed by a team of volunteers supported by a salaried employee of 4 hours per week.

  • The municipal library of Buellas is a public service created in 1984 by Mrs. Danielle Grimand, city councilor.
    Its premises being close to the nursery and elementary school, all the children from the nursery school come regularly with their teachers to borrow a book.

    All the inhabitants of the commune have free access to the library, possibility of consultation on the spot, and loan of documents.

    About 4000 documents are available to users.
    All genres are represented: novels, detective stories, history, science, nature, sports, children's literature and "fantasy" literature. Encyclopedias are also available.

    The library is a relay of the Direction de la Lecture Publique.
    This last one allows us a deposit of approximately 1000 books renewed twice a year

    The music collection has been removed, but it is still possible to reserve CDs from the D.L.P.
