Calling all explorers, sportsmen and women, walkers or just those wanting to see the sights: here is a natural treasure for you to come and see with your own eyes. Revermont is a natural region, east of Bourg-en-Bresse, in the first foothills of the Jura Mountains. It is a natural playground for people of all ages, with something for everyone and to suit every mood. Heritage sites, history, nature and sports activities, you’ll find everything you could dream of.

Did you say Comté in the Revermont ?

That’s right, this sector is not monopolised by our friends and neighbours in the Jura! This PDO cheese produced in wheels weighing more than 40 km is one of the most popular cheeses in France. The cheese factories in Drom,Villereversure and Simandre-sur-Suran open their doors to visitors and their products are always a hit.

Elegant Bugey wines

Revermont was once a land covered in vines, and this is where the name ‘Cavets’ (‘Cave’ = ‘wine cellar’ in French) came from for the locals! Just on the outskirts of this natural region, there’s a 460-hectare vineyard where passionate winegrowers produce the local PDO Bugey wines.

This vineyard may be small, but you will love the wide variety of wines produced here.

RESPIRER, OSER, EXPLORER, ADMIRER... J’aime courir mais J’ADORE par-dessus tout tomber sur ces sentiers qui t’obligent à oublier ta montre, ton allure ou ton cardio pour t’arrêter et te rappeler combien la richesse de la nature est le plus beau des joyaux 🙏🏻. La pluie a magnifié ce côté du Bugey 🤩. Le Château des Allymes, Le Mont Luisandre, ici après Nivollet... Ces paysages du Revermont à 45 min de Lyon se sont imposés comme un coup de cœur ♥️.
