The mysteries and power of the heartstrings.

Two virtuoso violinists and budding researchers embark on madcap studies to unravel the secrets of strings on our emotions. Their itinerant laboratory confronts audiences with their sonic and musical experiments. They explore the many facets of their instruments, pulling out all the strings of a highly contrasting musical repertoire, from Antonio Vivaldi to contemporary music, sound experimentation and improvisation. It's all a question of heartstrings, the ones that animate the heart of each and every one of us, but also the ones that vibrate thanks to music.

So how do these famous cords affect our emotions? Why and how do they react when rubbed, plucked, slapped or played? Accompanied by wacky or poetic visual devices, they'll try to uncover the mystery of the heartstrings.
This show, which was presented and then cancelled last season, is a welcome return to La Toute Petite Compagnie, which has performed regularly for the past ten years (including Boite de Nuits, Le Bal des Hippocampes, l'Idole des Houles, Louis et Vous, Aurore...).
