In a playful space, five characters have fun kneading words without reserve, playing with the melody of language, dissecting speech, experimenting in the manner of the Surrealists, exploring, in a joyful and poetic way, the relationship between the names of things and their reality. Little by little, this mischievous chorus conjures up a new civilization, a cousin of our own, where language is said and lived differently. Le Nom des choses thus becomes a poem that is both funny and philosophical.
Guided by her passion for philosophy with children, talented Swiss director Muriel Imbach, associate artist at the Scène nationale, creates captivating universes, fueled by her exchanges with the very young and her inspiring encounters with philosophers, sociologists, linguists and translators.
