Located between Bourg en Bresse and Oyonnax, in a small welcoming valley where the Suran river winds, you will spend wonderful moments between hiking, fishing in the Suran, swimming and canoeing on the Ain river or simply lazing around at the Gîte des Aillets with Agnès and Emmanuel. Within a wooden house where ecology and economy of resources are fully implemented (rainwater recovery, solar and wind electricity, geothermal and pellet heating, etc..) The gîte of 4/6 places includes: - A living room with integrated kitchen. - A bathroom with Italian shower. - A corner living room with sofa bed 140 x 190. television, Wifi. - A room with 1 double bed of 140 x 190. - A room with 2 beds of 80 x 200, adjustable in a big double bed of 160 x 200. - A folding baby bed, changing mat and high chair (on request) Parking on site - Terrace and garden access The Suran valley is located in the heart of the Revermont. The Suran, born in the Jura department, quietly carves its way through a karstic relief where its waters sometimes get lost in its underground bed. A quiet valley where the water flows randomly. You will be able to admire while strolling there, mills, fords, meanders, ruins of castles, witnesses of a rich past. A must-see: The menhir of "Pierre fiche" (historical monument): In Simandre-sur-Suran, along the ancient Roman road, the only menhir of the department is enthroned. It dates from 2500 BC (Bronze Age) and is 3.80 m high. La Chartreuse de Sélignac, founded in 1202 : On the road leading to Corveissiat, sits this imposing building. Before leaving for the crusades, the lord of Coligny donated the land of Sélignac to the Carthusian Order. Since 1211 and until 2001, monks lived in Sélignac. The three fords on the Suran (Middle Ages). The county dairy at Simandre-sur-Suran. The Suran river, a place for trout fishing.
