An intimate stroll around Dompierre-sur-Veyle to discover the ponds, landscapes and architecture (hamlets, manor houses and castles) of the Dombistes region, for contemplative walkers. The lake at Dompierre will also add to the pleasure.

The Veyle crosses the plateau from south to north, almost marking the eastern boundary of the Dombes.
Along its course, it reveals a number of high points (rare elevations on the Dombes plateau) where people have settled, as here at Montchamp (alt. 298) - average altitude in the Dombes 280 m!
