Three great actors, one crime and a mystery to solve.

Marguerite Duras, passionate about trials and criminal cases, drew inspiration from a true story to write L'Amante anglaise. At the heart of the story is Claire Lannes, masterfully played by Sandrine Bonnaire, a seemingly ordinary woman who has committed the unthinkable: the murder of Marie-Thérèse Bousquet, her deaf and mute cousin. Right from the start, she confesses to having murdered her, cut up her body into pieces and scattered them around. What motives lie behind this appalling act?
Through an interrogation in two acts, the show offers a dizzying immersion in the meanders of human madness, the repetition of everyday life, bourgeois appearances, the lie of feelings, the enigma of a mad gesture, the mystery of a life.
Jacques Osinski directs Sandrine Bonnaire, superb, Frédéric Leidgens and Grégoire Oestermann, imperial, in a staging that is as radical as the light on the actors' faces.
In L'Amante anglaise, Sandrine Bonnaire kills the game! (Libération)
