Micro-Folie, a cultural space open to all!
Micro-Folie Bourg-en-Bresse offers a wide range of activities open to all, including the Digital Museum, the Fablab and the Little Café.
The three resident associations of the Maison de la Culture et de la Citoyenneté de Bourg-en-Bresse co-run the Micro-Folie Bourg-en-Bresse scheme, a multiple activity space accessible to all.
WHAT IS A MICRO-FOLIE?
The Micro-Folie project is built around a Digital Museum in collaboration with 12 founding national cultural establishments. Depending on the location chosen to host the Micro-Folie and the project designed for and with local residents, several complementary modules can be added to the Digital Museum. Here in Bourg-en-Bresse, the Micro-Folie includes a museum, a FabLab, a virtual reality space and a convivial little café area.
AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN IN CONCRETE TERMS?
3 associations for 3 axes:
>> The Digital Museum
Access art at the flick of a finger. Discover works of art from the great museums of France and beyond on a giant screen or tablet. Take your mind on a journey while saving your feet. The digital museum, managed by the MJC, offers a wide selection of works. From fine art and architecture to live performance, you'll be amazed by new things every time you visit.

>> The FabLab
Give your hands a taste for creation. Prototype on the computer, then bring your creation to life. From brainstorming to tinkering, you'll be able to create all the parts you need. The FabLab, run by Altec, has a range of numerically-controlled machines accessible to all. After a two-hour introductory workshop, you'll have access to a 3D printer, a laser cutter, a vinyl cutter and small electronics and DIY equipment. More than just machines, this is a space for creation and exchange.
- OPEN DOORS one Wednesday a month from 2pm to 6pm
>> Le Little Café
Meeting, exchanging and sharing - that's what the Little Café is all about, a convivial space open to all. Initially proposed to associations to break isolation, the Little Café, organized by AGLCA, now takes place every two months and is open to all. At each meeting, it proposes a civic or cultural theme, inviting guests for discussion. All accompanied by a tasty breakfast or aperitif, depending on the time of day!
