A tender evocation of the dream of an Algerian immigrant family returning home. A journey back to their origins, combining happy memories and adventures.
Musical theater to dream of an (im)possible return to the promised land.
With tenderness and self-mockery, Abdelwaheb Sefsaf opens the doors to his family history and plunges us into an incredible journey.
The dream of an Algerian immigrant family in central France who imagines a return to the Promised Land in the 1970s-1980s. This family is his own. The family of his childhood, of which he paints a touching portrait full of happy memories. Father, mother and ten children shoehorned back into the family estafette, ready to face the perils of a 3,000 km journey to the boondocks to celebrate their older brother's wedding!
Abdelwaheb Sefsaf is a true storyteller, both personal (with Ulysse de Taourirt, hosted in 2024) and part of the big story (with Kaldûn, hosted last season). Accompanied by his musicians, he offers a joyful blend of worlds and frontiers, tackling the intimate and sensitive journey we all make one day, that of our origins.
