In a warm salon, on a Persian carpet lined with discreet candles, four young women gather around stories taken from Boccaccio's famous Decameron to transport us to the Middle Ages, sheltered from the plague raging outside, in a Mediterranean reverie and a dialogue between East and West at the confines of cultures and eras.

Precious words flow like gold from the inhabited storyteller's lips, while the harmonized chants, chitarrino, fiddle, oud and flutes of traditional and innovative medieval music resonate with power and delicacy. Performed by three inspired and passionate musicians, it is remarkably rich, at the crossroads of rarely played repertoires, rewritten, composed for the occasion or improvised.

The fluid, inventive and choreographic staging plunges us into the heart of these stories of bygone times, where sultans, merchants, pirates, noble ladies, gentlemen and rascals meet and intertwine. And in this graceful whirlwind of images, notes and sensations, we all let our imaginations run wild with delight.
