What is sustainable forest management? How does climate change affect the health of our forests? Why and how do we harvest forests? What motivates forestry professionals, and what is their day-to-day work like?
Come discuss these questions and many others with forest managers and forestry contractors, and watch demonstrations of logging and/or skidding!
Open to the general public; children must be accompanied by an adult.
Appropriate attire required (closed-toe shoes, pants) + water
>>The July 16 tour will take place in Lent in a private forest and will be led by Stéphane MARTIN, an independent forest manager—Tour focused on sustainable forest management (felling/skidding demonstration not guaranteed)
>>The tours on August 28 will take place in the Seillon Forest and will be led by an ONF technician and forestry contractors (logging and/or skidding demonstrations)
