Description
Experience the history of Verjon through its built heritage: its houses tell their own stories, its restored church reveals its treasures, and its château welcomes you. Guided tour in partnership with the H.E.D.E.R. association.
Along the village streets, history traces the contours of the past: houses such as the Maison Picquet, reminiscent of the priest who set out to evangelize the Iroquois, the former home of the Hospices de Bourg and others. A stop at the restored Saint-Hippolyte church (15th and 16th centuries) is a must: it evokes the de Châteauvieux family and the House of Coligny. The tour ends with a visit to the exterior of the Château de Verjon. The chatelain welcomes you and tells you all about it. A glass of friendship on the terrace. A wonderful time in a small town with a rich heritage. Reservations required.
