Description
Wander through the village of Treffort, discovering its built heritage and the long history of this small border town and winegrower. Along the way, explore the flora and meet the companion plants.
Treffort is a remarkable village. Take a few steps through the narrow streets and you'll feel the rustle of history. The houses have something to tell you, the old stones emerge from anonymity to redesign the ramparts. You're sure to want to laze under the centuries-old lime tree that spreads its branches across the Bresse plain; you'll be seduced by the grassy paths and their wild and cultivated flora running behind the typical houses, by the gardens that can be glimpsed from the top of a wall. Let yourself be guided through a village where heritage nestles in a bucolic setting. A short stop (15 min.) on the château's forecourt, a reminder of the site's history and its fine restoration (subject to the presence of a château representative).
Guided tour by Association Graines de Patrimoine.
Tip: why not spend the day in Treffort? Packed lunch on the Vieilles Vignes trail to extend your discovery of local history. Access to the château visit in the afternoon: preferential rate on presentation of your "village visit" ticket, €6 per adult instead of €9 (Free under 12).
